The late businessman, Chairman of MF Jebsen Group, Mr. Markus F. Jebsen, who passed away in a traffic accident in South Africa in 2021, would have turned 60 on 5 September 2022. His wife Judith Supnet and his three children Alexander, Maximillian and Michelle gave a gift to nature in memory of Markus Jebsen’s commitment to nature conservation. The gift consists of a new nature project of 11.7 hectares of land which lies between the church and Bjerremark in Ubjerg.
“Our family is happy to support the wetland project. It is very much in the spirit of Markus. He was not only an initiator, but also took part in meeting with the landowners and partners in this specific area”. Judith said in a statement on behalf of the family and continues, “It is our aim to continue supporting local nature projects in Denmark in the next years for the benefit of nature and the wild animals. We hope by continuing to support these projects, the conditions for nature in Denmark will improve in many years to come, and Markus’ spirit will live on through his original ideas and initiatives.”
“The project has been running for 5 years, so it is of great satisfaction that it is now coming to fruition. If it is not too wet in early spring, the new project will start there”. Said Jesper Tofft who is an independent nature consultant and was an administrator for Markus’ Danish activities.
